Students will analyze market opportunities for SimplyFloss, a product by Clear Water Dental Products Inc., by conducting in-depth research on competitive landscapes and customer insights. The project will involve answering the key research questions:


  • What channels and platforms do parents and caregivers most frequently use to discover and purchase children’s oral care products?
  • What messaging and product features resonate most with parents when choosing floss products for their kids?
  • At what age do children typically begin flossing, and how can Simplyfloss tailor marketing to target that age range effectively?
  • What marketing tactics have successfully driven adoption of children’s oral care products in comparable brands or categories?
  • How do customer segments differ in their awareness and attitudes toward flossing for kids, and which segments offer the greatest growth potential?
  • What barriers prevent parents from buying floss products for children, and how can marketing campaigns address those challenges?



Students will apply classroom knowledge in market research methodologies, branding strategies, and business strategy formulation. The goal is to equip students with practical skills while offering SimplyFloss valuable insights to inform its growth strategy.

Deliverables

The project deliverables will include a comprehensive market research report detailing the findings on market opportunities and competitive analysis. Students will also provide a strategic branding proposal tailored to SimplyFloss, highlighting potential growth strategies. Additionally, a presentation summarizing key insights and recommendations will be delivered to SimplyFloss stakeholders. These deliverables will offer actionable insights and strategic recommendations to support SimplyFloss's market expansion efforts.
